About West Irving Basketball
Built to teach.
Ready to compete.
West Irving Basketball serves boys and girls in grades 6–8 throughout the Schaumburg area and northwest suburbs. We combine purposeful instruction, competitive opportunities, and clear expectations that help players grow.
Who We Are
Development that carries into the game
West Irving Basketball is a local youth program built around teaching players how to understand the game, compete together, and respond to challenges. Practices connect skill development with decision-making, spacing, pace, defensive effort, and team play.
Our teams practice twice per week for 90 minutes per session. Players are placed in Development or Competitive pathways so instruction and competition can better match where they are today while preparing them for what comes next.
Our goal is straightforward: create an environment where players are coached, challenged, supported, and held to meaningful standards.

How We Play & Teach
Purpose. Pace. Pressure.
Every drill, action, and decision should connect to something players will face in a game.
Players learn to move, think, communicate, and execute with urgency while staying under control.
We use competitive situations to help players make sound decisions and respond with confidence.
