Meet Coach Mike
Experience from youth basketball to the professional game
Co-Program Director
Mike Schierhorn serves as a Co-Program Director and Coach for West Irving Basketball. He played collegiate basketball at North Central College and began his coaching career in 2002 as an assistant varsity coach at Lake Park High School in Roselle, Illinois.
Since then, Mike has coached at every level of the game—from youth basketball through the professional ranks. His experience gives West Irving players access to instruction informed by long-term development and the expectations found at higher levels of competition.
Beyond West Irving, Mike runs World Ball Tours, which takes professional players throughout Asia to compete against other professionals. He also works as a player agent focused on the Asian basketball market, bringing an international understanding of the game, professional opportunities, and player preparation.
